I was bored with all of that (because I already knew it, of course). So I would just sit there and draw pictures or cartoons."

"I’ve spent the last 18 years doing wildlife art in wood (wood burning and carving) for which I have won 4 awards." I've also done paintings, writings, and several forms of music.

All of this comes together in my use of the tattoo machines and rich ink colors to get the exact results I want. When I picked up the machines for the first time back in May of '97 I really "hit the ground runnin" so to speak.

"When I do one of my bird or animal tattoos they seem to have a life of their own. This together with my name being `Spirit` these tats are known as a `Spirit-Wolf,` or `Spirit-Eagle,` etc."
